Landscape Photographer of the Year competition 2021

I was very pleased to make it into the 2021 LPOTY winner’s book again and the UK touring exhibition. This shot was taken hand held a couple of September’s ago on a beautiful misty morning. The scene I witnessed was unexpected so the shot had to be taken quickly to capture the atmosphere and the beauty. It just shows that as landscape photographers we have to be ready to work in a number of ways and whilst I use my tripod a lot, this would have been an image I would have missed if I had not hand-held, increased the ISO and reduced the aparture slightly.
